    1. Bamboo Cte 450

I have a late 2015 Retina iMac running MacOS 10.12, and have connected a Wacom Bamboo Create tablet via the USB cable. It works, sort of, moving the cursor around the screen when using the finger.

However, none of the other features work, including using the Bamboo stylus. When I try to install the drivers from the Wacom support site dated January 2015, the installation fails. When I open system preferences, the Wacom icon is there, but when I click it is says that: There is a problem with your tablet driver. Please reboot your system. If the problem persists reinstall or update the driver. I rebooted the system, reinstalled the Wacom driver, and got the same result. Does anyone know how to get this driver working?

The Bamboo tablet is perfectly good and I really want to use it. On, Wacom posted Driver 5.3.7-6, which is certified for macOS 10.9x - 10.12x. I installed the driver and it works as expected. UPDATE - macOS 10.13 High Sierra (9/17/2017) The current drivers work after upgrading to macOS 10.13 (High Sierra), but the installer removed the Prefs Pane (System Preferences) module.

This means that you can continue to use the Bamboo after upgrading, but you will not be able to make any changes to the settings. I have put in a trouble ticket with Wacom on this, and will post any updates here as I receive new information. I will also do some more research to see if there is a way to get around the prefs pane issue.

SECOND UPDATE - macOS 10.13 High Sierra Wacom has posted updated drivers that support macOS 10.13 High Sierra: But they do not support the older devices, which include the Bamboo Create. This worked for me: On the Wacom driver download page, most of the hardware-specific drivers were written over a year ago. There are only two or three drivers for any Wacom equipment that claim to work with MacOS 10.12.

With that in mind, I cleaned out all traces of previous attempts to install, then tried installing the most recent Bamboo driver, not knowing whether it should be Bamboo or Intuos, since Bamboo has been promoted to Intuos.but the installs failed. Then I tried the installer for 'Business Solutions interactive displays', obviously not meant for my Bamboo tablet. But it works. Better, in fact, than the Bamboo driver. Which Bamboo product are you using? Following your lead, I uninstalled the current drivers, then downloaded the 'Business Solutions interactive displays' driver. The driver installed without any errors, but when I go into System Prefs and click the new Wacom Tablet icon, the panel shows the error message: 'A supported tablet was not found on the system.' I have the Bamboo Create tablet, and the blue light is illuminated, indicating that it is connected and working, but it does not work with macOS.

Bakshi from Bamboo Fun Medium and Photoshop I purchased Bamboo Fun Medium for my Photoshop photo retouching work. This is my first tablet and therefore I was not sure what size or type to get. Now, after some experience I think that particularly for Photoshop retouching smaller tablet would be sufficient and perhaps better.

I think the Bamboo Fun is good enough for this type of work and I do not regret not buying more expensive type. The only issue I have is that the pen requires a little bit more pressure than I use for handwriting (think of it as pencil vs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bill Pador from Not only Fun but Productive! As a Professional Photographer using a tablet is a necessity, the Bamboo Fun model not only handles my work without skipping a beat but for less then $ it didn't break the budget either!Very comfortable, precise and not too big for my desktop work space, the Bamboo Fun has just been a great addition to my work flow tools and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tablet on a budget. Professional results can be had from this tool and you don't have to spend a fortune doing it! I only wish it had come with a few extra replacement tips for the pen and as for the mouse I don't really like using it because of the lack of extra buttons/wheels that my own mouse has. Other then that it's a great tool, built well and makes doing precise work on your photos a snap! It takes a bit of getting used to over the mouse but after a few hours it becomes second nature and I would NEVER go back to doing post production work with a mouse ever again! I would however recommend getting the 4x6 model as I did, anything less would be too small.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bzembrowski from Nice entry level tablet I wanted to get more serious with photoshop and editing my photos. After searching products and brands I chose to go with Wacom, there really was not comparison. They have solid products and designs; the pen feels completely natural and has no wires! I chose the medium size because I was unsure how I would be using the tablet. For photo editing the medium is large enough, perhaps too large for some people depending on how you will use it. Some people may prefer just wrist movements or others may prefer larger arm movements.

Either way you can always crop the active area on the tablet so getting a larger than needed tablet isn't a problem. The only issue I find worth mentioning was that the driver disc would not load on my mac.

I have a 2 year old mac pro laptop and don't have issues with other discs. However, every time I attempted to load the instal disc it would not read it. Luckily I was able to download from the website, but it would have been nice to avoid the headache. All in all I am satisfied with this tablet and would certainly recommend it for those looking for their first tablet.
